Costello joined the Sky Blues in July 2022 following his departure from Wigan Athletic.
Costello joined Wigan aged 15 from Tranmere Rovers and was prolific for the Latics’ Under 18s and Under 23s sides.
Tom made his professional debut for Wigan in their 2-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town in the Papa John's Trophy group stage in November 2021.
After joining City, he was a regular in the Under 21s side during the 2022/23 campaign and also spent time out on loan in the National League North with Banbury United.
At the start of the 2023/24 season Costello joined National League North side Southport until 26th November.
