Coventry City sealed a loan deal until the end of the season for Sheffield Wednesday midfielder David Prutton.

The 32-year old has had a highly successful career so we thought we would make a brief summary of his career so far!

Summary

Prutton came through the ranks at Nottingham Forest's Academy and made his full debut for Forest in the League Cup at Bristol City in the 1999/00.

The midfielder made over 100 appearances for the East Midlands club before Premier League side Southampton sealed Prutton's services for £2.5 million in January 2003.

Did you know? David Prutton played against the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Bruno Alves, Helder Postiga and Alexander Frei in the UEFA Under-21 European Championships!

During his time with the Saints, Prutton figured regularly and made over 80 appearances in all competitions during his four years with the club.

Prutton went back to Nottingham Forest in the 2006/07 season on loan but narrowly missed out on promotion as Forest lost to Yeovil in the League One play-off semi-finals.

Leeds was Prutton's next destination as he sealed a free transfer to Elland Road and he made over 50 appearances for the Whites in a three-year spell.

He had spells with Colchester United and Swindon Town before he sealed another free transfer to Sheffield Wednesday in May 2011.

He has made over 50 appearances for Wednesday and also had a short loan spell at Scunthorpe United last season.
