Coventry Community Responders will be joining the Sky Blues at the game against Burton Albion for a bucket collection to help fund their vital work.

The charity, who were Coventry City’s charity partner during the 2014/15 season, will be collecting pre-match at the Ricoh Arena at turnstiles and in corporate lounges.

Volunteers from the charity, which was established in 2009 by two serving police officers, attend 999 calls on behalf of the West Midlands Ambulance service, and provide potentially lifesaving treatment until the nearest available ambulance arrives.

The charity have many active volunteers trained to a nationally recognised level by the West Midlands Ambulance Service who – coupled with their full-time jobs – between them aim to be on duty 24-hours a day, seven days a week. They are fully trained in handling a variety of different situations including heart attacks, strokes and cardiac arrest.

Following the successful partnership last season, Coventry Community Responders have continued working alongside the club to provide support to the Sky Blues’ medical and physio team on a matchday.
